The morning begins with a private visit with a personal shopper to the incredible Times Square Toys-R-Us store or the newly reopened FAO Schwarz before public store hours. Then will follow an introduction to Central Park, with the specific sites visited in the park coordinated with the children’s ages, interests, and activity levels. A hansom carriage ride in the park is optional. A visit to the Central Park Zoo rounds out the morning.

The afternoon continues at the American Museum of Natural History including the dinosaur halls, the butterfly exhibit (in season) and galleries that support the interests of our children, and includes a visit to the Rose Center for Earth and Science space show.

The World's Biggest Dress-Up Box
The morning tour centers on costumes: their design and creation, fitting and transformation of a character on the stage. It’s an opportunity to try on a real Broadway costume and to be that character for a while. *

In the afternoon, we focus on the face, and work with a stage make-up artist to create unique characters for ourselves. Learn how stage make-up will completely alter the appearance of an actor and create a whole new character. *
A matinee performance of a Broadway show can be substituted for the make-up activity on Wednesdays. Day includes minivan and driver, tour director, admissions, taxes and gratuities.

Just a Few Minutes from Broadway
These sessions are particularly intended for older children: pre-teens and teenagers who have an expressed interest in performing arts, who may be a participant in local theatrical productions.
* In the morning activity, we will meet a?professional theater director and musical director to learn warm- ups and exercises, breathing techniques that professionals use for improving vocalization and movement.
* Lunch in a Times Square restaurant.
* In the afternoon, we focus on movement. We will meet professional Broadway dancers, learn some warm-up techniques and rehearsal routines for the stage and explore the ins and outs of going after a role in an audition.

Creatures Great and Small
From professionals at one of the wildlife conservation centers, we will learn about the care of some of the most fascinating creatures, the creation of suitable artificial environments for them, and the preservation of their natural habitats. Visit a polar environment, a tropical rainforest or the African plains.
